Skanska has signed an initial contract with an existing client to build a data center in Virginia, USA. The contract is valued at USD 94 million, approximately SEK 870 million, and will be included in the U.S. order bookings for the second quarter 2026.
The project encompasses the construction of a 19,500 square-meter facility, equivalent to 210,000 square feet, which will house four data halls along with associated site work and underground site utilities. This will be the second building constructed on the campus.
Construction is scheduled to commence in October 2026, with an expected completion date of May 2028.
