How S2 sources, verifies, and tiers AI-infrastructure intelligence

S2 is a primary-source-first intelligence service covering the global AI buildout — GPU clouds, data centers, AI chips, power, and the capital behind them. This page explains where our information comes from, how we rank source credibility, and how we verify what we publish.

Where our data comes from

Primary filings — SEC EDGAR (8-K, 10-Q, 10-K, S-1) for every company we track, parsed to the specific filing items disclosed.
Official sources — company newsrooms / investor relations and press wires (Business Wire, PR Newswire, GlobeNewswire).
Trade press — Data Center Dynamics, Data Center Knowledge, The Next Platform, SemiAnalysis, Blocks & Files, The Register and others.
Financial & wire services — Bloomberg, Reuters, CNBC, WSJ, FT (headlines indexed; we do not republish paywalled bodies).
Regional coverage — multi-region queries across the US, China / APAC, Australia, Europe and the Middle East.
Markets — equity moves for AI-infrastructure names via public quote data.

Source tiers

Every item is tagged by source credibility so readers can tell an official disclosure from a second-hand report at a glance:

Tier 3 — First-hand / official (highest): SEC filings, company newsrooms, press wires. Surfaced first in Primary Disclosures.
Tier 1 — Trade press: established industry media.
Tier 2 — Financial / wire services.
Tier 4 — Research: analyst and research firms.
Tier 5 — Crypto / compute verticals: relevant to miner-to-AI transitions.

How items are processed

Sources are pulled continuously, de-duplicated, and classified by topic (data centers, compute & cloud, chips, power, capital, policy) and region. First-hand filings and announcements are fetched in full and rendered into plain-language briefings; their original documents are always linked. A daily brief surfaces the day's most important developments; breaking alerts flag major events in real time.

Verification & accuracy

Figures follow the underlying source; when a claim is uncertain we say so and link the original. Every item carries a publication date and a link to its primary source. We summarize and translate; we do not republish full copyrighted articles. Material errors are corrected and noted.
