NTT Communications has announced that its Osaka 7 Data Center (OS7) in Ibaraki City, Osaka Prefecture has been certified under the NVIDIA DGX-Ready Data Center program. This certification validates the facility as a secure data center capable of hosting enterprises running AI and other demanding applications leveraging NVIDIA accelerated computing infrastructure. The NVIDIA DGX-Ready Data Center program certifies data centers' ability to host high-density accelerated computing systems such as the NVIDIA DGX platform and supercomputer clusters like NVIDIA DGX SuperPOD, taking storage and cooling facilities into consideration. Through this certification, NTT Communications has also joined the NVIDIA Partner Network as a data center provider.

Within the OS7 facility, NTT Communications provides high-quality, reliable network services with exceptional connectivity incorporating Internet Exchange (IX) points and optimal network environments. The data center can accommodate the high-density, high-efficiency racks required for applications such as generative AI, positioning it as an ideal environment for operators looking to locate cutting-edge systems and large-scale computing systems. The facility is planned to become a "Green Nexcenter" colocation data center equipped to support liquid-cooling systems for high-density and accelerated computing systems.

NTT Communications' Green Nexcenter offering will be an environmentally friendly, ultra-energy-efficient data center facility that evolves its existing "Nexcenter" data center by incorporating a liquid-cooling system. This technology provides energy-efficient cooling that far surpasses traditional methods and allows the accommodation of high-density servers that are difficult to manage in conventional data centers. The facility's utilization of renewable energy provides a cutting-edge data center service that achieves carbon neutrality. Additionally, NTT Communications offers the "APN Dedicated Line Plan powered by IOWN" service, which connects data centers with ultra-high-speed wide bandwidth, cloud-based NVIDIA GPU services, and other networking and storage facilities to support corporate and operator ICT environments.

To meet growing demand for generative AI and cutting-edge applications, NTT Communications plans to equip more of its data centers with Green Nexcenter facilities capable of cooling high-density servers and offering low power consumption. The first Green Nexcenter offering is scheduled for the company's Yokohama 1 Data Center in March 2025, along with OS7 in the Kansai region. The company is also proceeding with installation of Green Nexcenter as standard equipment at its Keihanna Data Center (tentative name), scheduled to open in March 2026 in Seika-cho, Kyoto Prefecture. Through these investments, NTT Communications aims to offer NVIDIA accelerated computing operating environments utilizing Green Nexcenter, network services, storage, and other peripheral solutions tailored to meet specific customer needs and use cases for servers with NVIDIA GPUs.
